Jason Momoa Announces Start of SEE Filming on Instagram

Jason Momoa has been in Canada the last few weeks getting ready to film his part in the new Apple TV series See Momoa will star in a lead role as Baba Voss, who is a fearless warrior, leader and guardian.  The show has been described as “an epic, world-building drama set in the future” and is being written by Stephen Knight and directed by Francis Lawrence.  See comes from Chernin Entertainment/ Endeavor Content and will be released as part of Apple’s original programming.  We first reported on this back in July HERE.  Jason is no stranger to playing a fearless warrior on television, perhaps being most well-known for his role as Khal Drogo on HBO’s Game of Thrones television program.

Jason announced the start of filming with a celebratory post on Instagram this morning.

He also shared a video on Instagram from the makeup trailer where they were eating breakfast burritos and listening to Black Sabbath on Momoa’s Marshall amp that he takes everywhere.

According to The Hollywood Reporter…

See is described as an epic, world-building drama set in the future. Momoa will star in a lead role as Baba Voss, who is a fearless warrior, leader and guardian. Additional details about the eight-episode project are being kept under wraps.

Written by Oscar nominee Steven Knight (Dirty Pretty Things, Peaky Blinders), Francis Lawrence (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Red Sparrow) will direct the series. Knight and Lawrence will executive produce the Chernin Entertainment/ Endeavor Content effort alongside the company’s Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Kristen Campo.
